Tackle technological problems, and work with testing organizations to make a historic breakthrough
Huada Electronic Design began the dual-interface chip technology research as early as 2003, launched in 2005, the first dual-interface IC card chip achieved mass production for the operating license project in Guangdong. In 2007, Huada Electronic Design, by virtue of the keen insight in the development of the financial industry, began to carry out the research and reserve on security technology, and integrated research results into product development. In 2008, the company began to collaborate with foreign well-known security laboratories and obtained a comprehensive understanding of international safety certification requirements to guide product development with the international level of security. In 2013, years of investment and accumulation helped achieve a historic breakthrough, and Huada Electronic Design received the first China UnionPay Chip Card Product Safety Certificate (No. PCN-A001) in China UnionPay’s history. In September 2015, the dual-interface financial IC card chip CIU9872B of Huada Electronic Design received the international EMVCo certification.

Industrial collaboration to promote the breakthrough of domestic chips

2014 has been known in the industry as the icebreaking year for domestic chips, and with the support and promotion of the Ministry of Industry, Development and Reform Commission, State Cryptography Administration Office of Security Commercial Code Administration, the People’s Bank of China, China UnionPay and other competent departments, the pilot problem of the domestic chip was solved. Huada Electronic Design participated in the state cryptography pilot project in the Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperatives and Bank of Changsha, and provided a dual-interface financial IC card chip and a mobile payment chip product respectively, which withstood the market tests in the practical application. In 2015, Huada Electronic Design achieved a comprehensive breakthrough in the financial market, and has successively become the suppliers for more than 20 banks such as Construction Bank, Bank of China, Agricultural Bank, Postal Savings Bank, and Minsheng Bank. In the statistical data released by China UnionPay, the shipments of financial chip of Huada Electronic Design ranked first among domestic manufacturers. Up to now, Huada Electronic Design and its affiliated holding companies have launched a total of 10 chips that have received the China UnionPay safety certification; and 17 operating systems with China UnionPay safety certification have been developed by card manufacturers based on these chips. 

Innovation on applications to achieve the integration and development of mobile and financial sectors

In recent years, market applications are booming, and a variety of applications such as financial IC cards, industrial joint cards, mobile payment and wearable equipment are integrated with each other.
